Pit Bulls: Monsters or Pups?

I'm doing a ten week term project on breed-specific legislation which refers to legislature that is created to ban or restrict a specific breed of dog based solely on that breed's history and not on an individual basis.

I'm curious. Do you think pit bulls are dangerous or should be restricted?
